Some of our services
Advice, Information and Support
AIC provides advice, information and support to community groups and individuals. This may, for example, include help to apply for funding, organising a suitable venue for meetings or cultural events, referrals to other service providers, providing information relating to childcare, education and health facilities, victim support and asylum and immigration.
Drop-in Facility
We run a drop-in facility between 10 am and 3 pm from Monday to Thursday and 9.30am - 1pm on Fridays. This is for members of the public seeking advice or who simply would like to chat to someone on an informal basis.
Partnership Meetings and Consultations
Aberdeen International Centre is involved in a number of forums and partnership meetings which are designed to bring issues relating to ethnic minorities in Aberdeen to the forefront. These partnerships look at possible and effective ways to deal with issues in consultation with communities and service providers.

Individual Cases
AIC also deals with individual cases and works on behalf of clients with various agencies such as employment tribunals, housing providers, universities and colleges etc. Some cases do, of course, require specialist knowledge, which the International Centre is not able to provide. In these cases we act as a referral service ensuring that individuals are being supported by the appropriate organisations.
